A new manager comes in, changes are inevitable. Especially when he is a project manager.
It was about a month since we completed the server migration project. The migration was from Europe to Asia and it took 6 months to complete. The idea was to make Asia the technological hub, which was well, the initial idea.
The new manager reviewed the project and decided that Asia is not the right home for the new servers. Project managers live and die by their arguments. He presented his case and convincingly convinced the business to move the servers back home to where it belongs.
We spend the next 6 months on moving it back to Europe. All in a year's work.
